Acer AS7741G-6426

Acer AS7741G-6426 is a remarkable notebook so far. I have been very impressed and rate this notebook 5 out of 5 stars (4.5/5 if you include the low battery life and low sound).

The notebook's curved edges and smooth lines bring a slenderized appearance while the mesh-patterned cover fetches a rich appearance. The keyboard also extends to a keen numeric keypad, making key-ins speedy and streamlining efficient.

Acer AS7741G-6426 also comes with Office Starter 2010.

External:
--The cover and look of the laptop is sleek. The external shell is of texture
plastic which is great since it is not a fingerprint magnet.
-- Acer AS7741G-6426 has 3 usbs and hdmi which is very useful for connecting to a tv or monitor.

Internal:
--The 2.66 GHz Intel Core i5-480M dual-core processor is plenty powerful and quick for browsing, gaming, video editing and sound editing.
--I wish the 640 GB SATA hard drive (5400 RPM) was a tad faster,
- I don't have any problems with the graphics card. I play Rift and WoW on it
and haven't noticed any lag with medium to high settings (although, I haven't tried
the ultra settings)
- the keyboard works fine and is comfortable to use, however the
arrow keys are placed in an awkward position but it's not a deal breaker.

Pros:
--Resolution is crisp, very much high def.
--Fast start up of Windows and other software
--Great multitasking. Runs like a charm with Word, Mozilla, Winamp, and Adobe open all at once.
--Speaker quality is ok, not the best in the world since the speakers are small. Headphone quality is excellent.
--Youtube videos and Netflix play great, no snags, though of course the smaller screen size makes for a smaller movie picture. Picture resolution, as already mentioned, is quite sharp.
--Comes with the full version of Windows 7

Cons:
--Low Sound as mentioned above
--Low battery life as mentioned above.

Conclusion:
-- For the price, this is a great laptop with better than average specs. You can also Enjoy music, video, photos, games and more on the 17.3-inch CineCrystal LED-backlit widescreen display as well as work easily on the full-size keyboard wherever you are with Wireless-N Wi-Fi networking.
