When I was given the Acer Aspire One netbook as a gift, I was elated. But I wondered... am I really going to like it? The truth is, there are a few things I do not like and many, many things I love! Here are the pros and cons, according to me.. a rather avid user!
CONS...
1) I do not like using it for it's phone capacities, which is really the only way we got a good deal on the thing (which is by hooking up with a plan with ATT&T). I want to use my netbook simply as a laptop, with all capacities of a computer.
2) It doesn't have a CD drive. This is rather frustrating, but I have gotten used to not needing one.
And that is what brings us to all the good things about my netbook.
PROS...
1) It's so lightweight! I can carry it in one hand, and it's still big enough where I can feel like I can get some real work done. It's ultra slim and only 11.6".
2) It's fast.
3) It can do everything else a regular laptop can do (pretty much, except the CD drive part).
4) It's webcam optimized, and it takes really great pictures! It also offers low-light video chatting, if that's what you are interested in.
5) It's got great battery life.
6) It comes in lots of colors, including a sexy white one. Mine is black, and definitely very sleek.
Where can you purchase the Acer Aspire One netbook? Check out great pics of it at www.acer.com/aspireone and some great places that are pretty reasonable in prices include www.amazon.com, www.bestbuy.com, and www.buy.com.
